India’s steel flat product market stays sluggish


Recently, India’s steel flat product market is under the pressure of down steel prices in global market.

It’s known that Indian steel mills have cut the ex-factory prices of hot rolled coil by around US$69~US$79/ton in April; however, the prices are still not competitive enough against the import materials.

Nevertheless, buyers are expecting for much lower-priced material. As a result, India ’s steel mills have faced difficulty to receive orders from domestic market.
