Global stainless steel production in the first nine months of 2023 (Jan-Sept period) stood at 42.6 mnt, up by 2.5% y-o-y. The output increased by 2% q-o-q to 14.72 mnt in Q3CY23 against 14.41 mnt in Q2CY23. China stood as the largest producer with 26.6 mnt during Jan-Sept'23 against 23.45 mnt in the CPLY, followed by Asia without China and South Korea with 4.93 mnt, respectively.
