Japan’s Nippon Steel Corporation said on Tuesday (September 24) that it will sell all its shares in South Korea's POSCO Holdings Inc. (POSCO HD) to improve its asset efficiency through asset compression. According to the Japanese steel producer’s announcement, it will sell POSCO HD shares, totaling 2,894,712 shares. The timing of the sale will be determined based on an assessment of factors such as market trends. Nippon Steel will continue to promote collaborative initiatives with POSCO HD and strive to achieve further results in the future in spite of the share selling. The impact on Nippon Steel’s financial results for the year ending March 2025 is unknown
