Iron ore prices fall on weak sentiment, steel production cuts likely

Seaborne iron ore prices fell on Wednesday June 15 amid weaker sentiment caused by poor downstream steel sales and expectations of more steel production cuts, reflected in futures and swap prices, market sources said. Key drivers The value of the most-traded September iron ore futures contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) fell on Wednesday, ending the day down by 3.83% from Tuesday's settlement.
