NMDC Limited, an Indian state-owned mining company, has started the construction of a screening and beneficiation plant at its Donimalai iron ore mine in Karnataka, with an annual production capacity of 7 million tons. NMDC’s current annual iron ore production of 7 million tons from the Donimalai mine is processed by SP 1 Kumaraswamy iron ore mine, whose capacity was expected to be increased to 10 million tons per year.
