Indian auto sales vroom in October

It is reported that sales of almost all the car makers received a boost in October as easy finance and festival season drove up demand.

Maruti posted a 39% YoY jump in sales to 118,908 vehicles. Maruti Suzuki crossed 100,000 mark in domestic sales for the first time in its 27 year history. This October, even domestic sales reached 107,555 units

Mahindra & Mahindra posted a growth of 34% YoY in its domestic sales. The company also recorded a 212% increase in two wheeler sales to 21,204 units in October.Â

TATA Motors recorded a 22% rise in sales at 24,478 units during the month.Â

Hyundai's sales rose 23% to 34,725 units in the month.

Ford India's sales surged to 9,026 vehicles from 3,458 a year earlier

Toyota reported 17% growth to 6,602 vehicles

General Motors India said its sales rose 36% to 10,051 units
