Honda Motorcycle proposes another facility in Rajasthan

It is reported that Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd is planning to set up a second plant in Rajasthan at an investment of INR 1,100 crore with an installed capacity of 1.2 million units per annum.

As per report HMSI plans to set up the proposed plant near Bhiwadi in Rajasthan in two phases.

The phase I, entailing an investment of INR 500 crore will be set up with an capacity of 600000 units per annum over five years.

In phase II, the company intends to increase the capacity to 1.2 million units per annum, which will entail investment of INR 600 crore.

The report added that the company expects to perform the bhoomi poojan and construction work is likely to begin this month.
