Nippon Steel Corp. has lifted its July price for H-beam by around 5,000 yen per ton as raw material cost surged. The subsidiary of long-products located in western Japan, Nippon Steel Structural Shapes Corporation in Wakayama has also decided to follow up the raising 5,000 yen in July. Nippon Steel said the company's inventories of H-beam have been at historically low levels to push up the price. This was the first increase in domestic price in 19 months since December 2018.
