As reported, the largest stated-owned Indian iron ore exploration enterprise, NMDC, announced that although witnessing the market challenges, its production in July increased by 13% year-on-year, reaching 2.19 million tons, and its iron ore sale value rose by 7% year-on-year, totaling 2.57 million tons. The company said that compared with the performance in the same period last year, overall production and sales all sharply increased. Besides, NMDC chairman and managing director Sumit Deb said that it was quite challenging in the last several months due to epidemic spreading. However, the company is going to regard it as a chance for accelerating and stabilizing production and continuously correcting production procedure, also the company will strive to achieve maximum cost-effectiveness to increase profits.
