According to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturer (SIAM), India produced approximately 2.1 million autos in July 2021, hiking by 22% from 1.7 million units in the same period a year ago. In July, India sold around 264,000 units of passenger cars, soaring by 45% from 179,000 units in the same month last year. The export volume of passenger cars reached 52,000 units, skyrocketing by 53% year on year. Besides, Indian vehicle output reached 6.5 million units from April to July 2021, climbing by 106% year on year, compared to 3.2 million units in the same period 2020.
