Indian Brass, Copper Scrap prices gain; Copper Futures show flat trend

India’s major brass and copper scrap commodities prices gained on the Scrap Register Price Index as on Friday, while copper Futures prices at India’s Multi Commodity Exchange showed almost a flat trend as pressure seen after LME copper inventories have surged 67 percent over the past two days. India’s major brass and copper scrap commodities prices including brass accessories, brass accessories, brass pales scrap, brass shell 40mm, acr copper coil 3/8, copper armature, copper cable scrap, copper mixed scrap, copper pat, copper shell 40mm, copper super d.rod, copper wire scrap and electrolytic copper strip 25mm advanced on the Scrap Register Price Index as on Friday. The most active April copper contract on India's Multi Commodity Exchange remained almost flat at Rs. 445.55 per kilogram on Friday from previous close of Rs. 445.15 per kilogram. Copper Futures at MCX touched an intra-day high of Rs. 449.00 per kilogram and an intra-day low of Rs. 443.50 per kilogram during Friday. The Chinese government has additional monetary policy measures that it can take to support economic growth this year, and will even cut "its own flesh" to help finance large-scale tax cuts, Premier Li Keqiang said. China has promised billions of dollars in tax cuts and infrastructure spending to help businesses and protect jobs, as economic momentum is expected to cool further due to softer domestic demand and the trade war with the United States.
